Often compared to Davey Havok, Michale Graves, and Zoli Teglas, Jason Tankerley has been the lead singer and primary songwriter for the Boston based rock band “Energy” since they formed in 2006.

 

Over the last decade, Jason’s powerful voice and signature style of somber, melancholy melodies and introspective lyrics combined with infectiously poppy hooks has truly cemented him as one of Boston’s most unique artists.

 

After becoming the sole songwriter for the band in 2012, Jason began writing songs for what would eventually make up Energy’s 2016 album ”Apparition Sound". It was around this time that he took a serious interest in modeling with the help and encouragement of close friend and professional fashion photographer Anthony Grassetti. In 2015, Jason signed with the Boston based modeling agency “Maggie Inc.”.

 

While diligent in his work in the modeling industry, Jason continues to write and record new music and play out live with his band on a regular basis as well as performing acoustic shows on his own.

 

2016 saw the release of “Apparition Sound”, which was followed up very quickly with 2017's "Under The Mask" EP. Both of which were supported by multiple tours across the United Kingdom.
